Hello everyone! Today, I have some awesome winter book recommendations for you guys. Some of my favorite books are on this list, so I hope you enjoy them.

First, though, I once again want to apologize for basically dropping off the face of the earth. Honestly, I’ve just been in a bit of a reading slump. Combine that with the fact that it can be hard to find the time to read and write posts… Well, the motivation just has not been there.

But I did manage to get out of my slump, at least somewhat! I finally picked up If This Gets Out and I absolutely loved it, so look for a review of that coming soon. I’ll probably post it on the book’s release day, December 7th.

Okay, now let’s get into the post. Let me introduce you to some of my favorite winter book recommendations!

The Awakening by Kevin D. Miller

If you remember, I reviewed this book back in March. (I think?) Anyway, it still holds a spot as one of my favorite reads from this year, so I definitely recommend checking it out. You can read my review to find out a little more, but if you’re a fan of mythology or fantasy, then I definitely think you’ll enjoy this one.

The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye

The two books in this duology are some of my favorite books ever. I love the characters, the setting, the way Skye developed the magic of their world–honestly, everything about them. I did a review of The Crown’s Game a little while ago when I re-read it, so definitely check that out if you’re interested! And I think I might do a re-read and review of The Crown’s Fate soon. Because winter is the perfect time for it, after all.

Predator’s Gold by Philip Reeve

I wouldn’t say that the entire Mortal Engines series is winter-themed. But the second book definitely fits the bill! And while the first book in the series will always be my favorite out of all of them, the second is a close second. Though, of course, I do just recommend checking out the whole series.

Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo

I mean, come on. There are some excellent wintery themes and visuals in this book, and I definitely recommend reading it during the winter. Honestly, I want to say the same about Six of Crows, even though it’s really only thoughts Matthias making me think that.

Okay, I honestly don’t know how to explain this one?? But when I think about books that I associate with winter, the Ruby Red trilogy immediately comes to mind, so. Also, it has been a very long time since I read these, so I can’t say whether I’d still enjoy the series if I read it now, but I definitely liked it when I originally read it!

The North Wind by Alexandria Warwick

Me, make it through a list without including a book I haven’t actually read yet? Impossible. Anyway, I definitely want to get around to reading The North Wind this winter–it sounds incredible, and the wintery vibes are strong with this one.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

And, to finish this list off, we have one of the most iconic winter-themed books ever. I’ve never actually read the entirety of this series, but it’s something I definitely want to do. Plus, it’s been quite a few years since I read the ones I did read, so I really don’t remember much of what happened in them.

So, there you have them: some winter book recommendations that I, personally, think would make for awesome reads this season. And even though I know it isn’t really winter yet, the season starts in spirit after Thanksgiving, in my mind.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my choices! Leave a comment down below to let me know about your own favorite winter books. Or, you can come over and drop a comment on my bookstagram. And if you want to more content like this post, you can use the Extras tab above to find more of the lists I’ve put together.
