spring-themed book cover aesthetic

Hello, and welcome back everybody! Now that it’s May and it really feels like spring, this prompt fits really well! Honestly, before I jumped into this, I didn’t know how many spring-themed books I had with flowers on the cover. But I think that I came up with a good list, in the end.

Happy May! Inspired by the start of the month and the time-known saying, April showers bring May flowers, this week’s prompt is about books with flowers/plants on their covers.

(This month’s prompts were provided by Alex (The Scribe Owl). Top 5 Wednesday was originally created by GingerReadsLainey.)

So, let’s jump into this week’s Top 5 Wednesday post! These are some of my favorite floral covers; I hope you enjoy them!

Foretold (The Anima Trilogy #3) by Rachael Krotec

Foretold Cover

I honestly adore this cover! The visual of the sword with the roses? It’s just stunning. I haven’t read this one yet, but I really liked the first book. So, I have high hopes for the rest of this series; I’m excited for when I get to them!

Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater

This is my favorite cover this series; it’s just so gorgeous! I absolutely love all the greens and blues, and of course the leaves and flowers! I also just adore the art style for this entire series, though; it fits the vibe of these books so perfectly.

The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow

Another one I haven’t read yet, but that I really want to! (Also, I just haven’t read enough books with flowers on the covers, I guess?) Anyway, I’ve heard mixed reviews for this one, so I’m not entirely what to expect. But the story sounds interesting, so I’ll definitely give it a try at some point.

All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater

Another Stiefvater book, because why not?! I just bought this one recently and have yet to read it, but obviously, I have high expectations, given the author. Plus, the premise sounds awesome, and the cover looks great, too. In short, it has everything going for it.

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

And we end the list with another sword-and-flowers motif! Though, with These Violent Delights, we also have that gorgeous gold dragon. Plus, I think that looks more like a dagger than a sword?! Anyway, I absolutely love this book, and I can’t wait for the second one to come out in November!
